What is a R&D engineer ?

The Research and Development (R&D) engineer focuses on a thorough analysis of customer needs, actively participating in functional and technical analysis. They closely interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand all project challenges. They draft specifications, assess technical feasibility, and establish a development program.

The R&D engineer also supervises trials, develops detailed experimental protocols, and guides tests at different project phases. The R&D engineer contributes to the final validation of the technical solution for the industrialization phase.

Beyond these responsibilities, they may perform additional activities such as technological, regulatory, and competitive monitoring, benchmarking, testing competing products, and searching for semi-industrial suppliers, ensuring continuous innovation and the quality of products developed by the company.
